Our Cruise!

So this semester has been a doozy. Clark and I both have 7:30 class, I have it on Monday Wednesday and Friday and he has it on Tuesday and Thursday. The morning's we aren't in class we are working so we are always up! I also chose to take 18 credits this semester, it hasn't been as hard as I expected it to be but it is still hard. Amidst all the chaos of the semester we decided to go on a cruise for Spring Break, seeing as how we got a great deal and I had never been on one. We went on the Carnival Splendor, Mexican Riviera Cruise. It was a blast.

On Sunday, my mother-in-law Claudia drove us to the airport (she also paid for our flight... thanks Claudia!) we flew into Long Beach California and then caught a little scary city bus that drove us to our ship. This little scary city bus was all Clark's idea, to his credit, it worked out great. We only paid $5 round trip for the bus ride instead of the $70 shuttle service the airport offers. Can you say exciting? Oh and we didn't get mugged. When we got on the ship we ate and did the safety drill thing and went to dinner and watched us sail away.

On Monday, we had a day at see. We filled it with a workout, lots of eating, going to shows on the ship, going on the water slide, sleeping and some dancing. We also had a formal dinner. We loved our waiter too. He was from Costa Rica. His name was Randy and he is awesome.
On Tuesday, we docked at Cabo San Lucas. I absolutely am in love with Cabo. I think it is such a beautiful place. After looking at the little Mexican shops for a while we found a guy that took us out to lovers beach. One side of this beach is calm and the other has some massive waves. I, of course, wanted to play in the massive wave side so Clark and I would run at the waves and as they came in we wound run back as fast as we could. It was so fun. We did it for a few hours. Then, we went on land and went shopping for a little while. We then, went back to the boat and relaxed and played the rest of the night.

On Wednesday, we were still at Cabo so we decided to go Parasailing. It was an adventure. It wasn't as scary as you think it is and we had two couples go before us so we got to watch them before we went. We also went back to my favorite place 'lovers beach' that day and played in the waves again. I got took out by a wave and an old man saved my life too. It was an interesting experience. We enjoyed the sun though!

On Thursday, we docked at Puerto Vallarta. We had booked a canopy tour earlier and it was well worth the money we paid. We got to climb up a mountain and go down 14 zip lines to the bottom. Some of them were over rivers too! It was so cool. After we were done, Clark went to the little animal place by the canopy tours and held an iguana and monkeys. The guy told us to empty his pockets before he went in and held them because the monkeys would take the stuff out of them. He was right. The monkey un-velcroed Clark's swimsuit pockets and proceeded to look through them. It was so cute! I was to big of a wimp to hold them. Clark also played on the slide after. Then, we went and shopped a little and went back to the boat.

On Friday and Saturday we had days at see and just enjoyed ourselves. I woke up one night at 2 AM to Clark eating a turkey sandwich and chips that he had ordered from room service. We had a blast and I'm so happy we can share experiences like this one.

It was the perfect spring break!
